The more gentle you process an herb or spice the less chance you will bruise the precious oils that it contains. I like the process of grinding my wellness shot with a mortar and pestle. The. U.z sa cc process is very soothing and almost meditative. To facilitate this process start with the driest to the wettest ingredients. I grind the elderberries and the peppercorns first (elderberries for antiviral properties and peppercorns to increase turmeric bioavailability), I then add the fresh turmeric root (anti inflammatory) and then lastly the wheatgrass (high chlorophyll content, so many other healing properties that I will expand on in a future post/website). I add a few teaspoons of water at a time to help with he extraction. Lastly, I strain and then drink the shot. I take this shot on an empty stomach and I can definitely feel the positive effects immediately!
