Morning routine to help you maximize your health and life goals

6:00 am Prayer/meditation. The first thing I do when I wake to is prayer. It may be mediation for you, but this is the most valuable activity that I will do all day. It starts your day with intention. This is the time to DECIDE if your day will be successful.

6:30 am Hydration. Any way you decide to hydrate is the best way to hydrate. Whether it’s a cup of still, sparkling, or juice mixed with water. I choose to drink 32 ounces of reverse osmosis water, mixed with 1/4 teaspoon of Celtic sea salt, and fresh lemon juice.

7:00 am Alone time. Alone time for me is drinking a cup of coffee in stillness. This is my favorite part of the day. I check in with myself daily, emotions, visions and goals. This does not have to look the same for you, this can be a half hour of something creative that you enjoy, or a morning beverage that you crave.

7:30 am Morning Sun. Sunlight sets your circadian rhythm on the right track. It allows your body to produce adequate melatonin in preparation of nighttime sleep. I usually take a leisurely low intensity steady state (LISS) cardio type of walk. My workout routine is usually later in the day.

8:00 am Life Errands. Whether it’s dropping off the kids at school or mundane tasks I need to get done, once I am able to conquer these small tasks it gives me confidence to complete more challenging tasks throughout the day.
